The Revd Kate Stowe is Priest-in-charge at St Peter's

Originally from Northampton, Kate came to Birmingham as an undergraduate to study French and Mathematics at the University. During her student days she was an occasional worshipper at St Peter's, and remembers Fr Jo very well. Kate trained as a secondary Maths teacher and taught just down the road in Halesowen. She then spent 3 years in Cambridge studying theology at Westcott House and Trinity College, and was ordained in 2007 to serve her title in the Salter Street and Shirley Team Ministry. Following a happy 4 years as a curate, Kate took up her (equally happy!) post as Chaplain to the Bishop of Birmingham.

Kate is married to Mat, and they have 2 lively children, Rebecca and Benjamin. Lightfoot, their very fluffy cat, completes the family.
